Bankruptcy was in October 2007 due to a business closing. All personal debts including current mortgage and cars were kept and no payments were missed. We plan to put 15-20% down.
We are in FL. Joint income is currently about 100k.

A friend of mine and her husband bought a house after they went through bankruptcy but the interest rates were higher. She said if they had waited longer before doing it then they would have been lower but they found the house they wanted then.
Now days the way the economy is there will be more people with the same problem. As you said no payments were missed and you do plan on putting money down. And looks like you have a good income coming in. Good luck!
