Whenever the credit reporting agencies see multiple mortgage lenders on a credit report within a small window of time, they bulk them all together as one inquiry. They do this because it protects your ability to shop around to get the best interest rate you can. Its fine to have as many lenders as you want run your credit, as long as you do it all at once, and not spread out over more than about 3 weeks.
